As a caring and experienced officiant with exceptionally high personal standards, I work with couples and families who want to create a beautiful and meaningful ceremony. 

Simply put, I will “create the ceremony of your dreams”.

I’m happy to offer a complimentary consultation where we are able to become acquainted with each other. We will discuss what you would like to include in your ceremony. What is most important to you as a couple will help to determine the type of ceremony that will best fit your needs and desires. 

Since my ordination in 2000 as an Interfaith Minister, I have performed many ceremonies for families who wanted a more spiritual, personal touch to their special day. I understand that couples and families of today want to be more involved in the planning of their ceremony. I truly care about the individual needs and wishes of each couple. Whether you are preparing for your marriage ceremony, commemorating an anniversary with a vow renewal, celebrating the birth of a child with a baptism or baby naming ceremony, I will provide you with the utmost professionalism and understanding.

I have officiated for couples from all over the world who have chosen beautiful Cape Cod as their ceremony venue. Few places can match the beauty of Cape Cod as a unique destination for a memorable wedding. Whether you choose a grand old sea captain’s home, a charming bed and breakfast inn or the sandy beaches where your senses feel at home with the serenity of the sand and surf during the ceremony, Cape Cod offers outstanding natural beauty and romance.

After we have had our consultation and I’ve gathered all pertinent information, I will start preparing and customizing ideas for your personalized ceremony. You will be provided with samples of ceremonies, readings, vow ideas and much more. You may choose from this selection, or I can help to create a ceremony as unique as your love for one another. I will consult with you on a wide variety of details, such as vendors, preparation of ceremony space, processional, religious or non-religious rituals, and cultural and ethnic touches. We will continue to make arrangements and keep in touch throughout the process via telephone and email.

A few weeks before your wedding date, we will meet or speak to review the ceremony draft and discuss processional options. As this is a collaborative effort, I am always available to answer any questions and any other needs as we approach wedding day.

Not local to the Cape Cod area? No problem! I meet with couples who live in the local area, as well as couples from all corners of the world who plan on having a Cape Cod ceremony (meetings and consultations via telephone and email).

A marriage license issued in the state of Massachusetts is mandatory. An out-of-state license cannot be used.

State law requires that both spouses apply in person and jointly file marriage intentions with any city or town clerk in the commonwealth which includes Cape Cod. Both applicants must be 18 years or older to file marriage intentions, otherwise a court order must be obtained. A marriage license is valid for 60 days from the date intentions are filed and may be used in any Massachusetts city or town. There is a mandatory three day waiting period from the date of application to the date the license is issued. This can be waived following a hearing before a probate or district court judge when a couple can show “good reason”.

Massachusetts statute does not require that any witnesses be present at your ceremony.

It is the responsibility of the officiating clergy or justice of the peace to complete and sign the original license as well as return it to the clerk of the city and town where the license was issued.
